NATIONAL AWARENESS RAISING EVENT – BULGARIA

The National awareness raising event in Bulgaria was organized under the slogan `Sustainability and innovations in tourism`. It was held on January 31^st at the Varna University of Management`s main campus in Varna (13a, Oborishte str.). Along with presentation of the HELIX project, it combined theoretical lectures and practical demonstrations that presented the possibilities, the benefits and the treats of service automatization in the hospitality sector (in particular the hotel and restauranteur services).

Speakers of the event were researchers in the field of robonomics, the Chairperson of the Varna Association of the Hoteliers and restauranteurs, and established operators that offer innovative solutions in support of the business and optimization of its performance and provision of high-quality services.

Almost 70 persons attended the event as the majority of the audience consisted representatives of hospitality SMEs which expressed the necessity of such initiatives and wide promotion of the possible solutions in support of the hospitality sector as well as the necessity for capacity and skill building for unleashing the Balkan-Med hospitality sector`s potential.
