OBJECTIVES
The event promoted the use of innovations that contribute to the sustainable development in Balkan-Mediterranean hospitality sector. Accordingly, the main topics (i) explain sustainability as a business driver in hospitality and tourism and (ii) showcase innovations and successful good practices.
The event is praxis-oriented and provided support to the participants in the adoption of technological and non-technological novel solutions for sustainability.
Established experts, entrepreneurs and practitioners in hospitality and tourism conducted the on-line sessions.
The webinar was organized in an innovative way combing on-site with on-line activities. Attendance sessions for interested stakeholders were held at the premises of each partner institution (in Varna, Volos, Durres, Shkodra and Skopje) to provide for building of partnerships in a local and national environment. Simultaneously, on-line interaction between the “national rooms” and sessions provided for cross-border learning and exchange of ideas.
The event was attended by more than 50 current and prospective entrepreneurs and business representatives from the hospitality sector of Albania, Bulgaria, Greece and FYROM.
